Punj Lloyd bags Rs 210-cr contract from NTPC in Assam

Infrastructure major Punj Lloyd said it has won a Rs 210 crore contract from NTPC for civil work of a thermal power project in Bongaigaon district of Assam.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by 2014.

The scope of work entails underground civil work, piling and foundations for over ground civil, structural and architectural work for the buildings such as main plant, air washer construction of the administration building and auditorium' the company said in a statement.

It said the contract has the provision of free cement and structural steel for the project from NTPC which will insulate its price escalation and will ensure easy procurement of raw materials, thereby mitigating risk.
