BSE and NSE-listed Quality Power Electrical Equipments Limited (QPEEL) (BSE: 544367; NSE: QPOWER) has successfully secured a significant order valued at approximately ₹19.7 crore for the supply of reactors for Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). The project aims to enhance renewable energy integration into the power grid, aligning with India's growing push for a more sustainable and resilient energy infrastructure.
This order marks the second consecutive contract from the same client within just four months, demonstrating Quality Power's strong execution capabilities and expertise in delivering technically complex solutions at scale.
Order Details:
Order Value: Approximately ₹19.7 Crore (EXW)
Industry and Application: Power Transmission/Coil Products for FACTS application in Renewable Energy Integration
Scope: Supply of Reactors
Nature of the Order: Single Large Order
Manu S. Achuthan, Chief Marketing Officer of Quality Power, commented, "Since the conclusion of our IPO, Quality Power has continued to grow in strength. This repeat order from a Fortune 500 client reflects their confidence in our technical capabilities and our ability to execute complex projects efficiently. It also reinforces our consistent performance in the FACTS sector, particularly in tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) grid integration projects."
He further added, "This win is a testament to our expanding presence in the High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and FACTS sectors, which positions us well for similar opportunities both in India and internationally. India's HVDC and FACTS market has significant growth potential, with the government introducing various opportunities. The recent surge in domestic orders has shielded us from global tariff disruptions, and we expect to secure additional component orders from our group businesses in the same project pipeline."
Operational & Financial Impact:
Execution Timeline: Expected delivery within 15-18 months
Revenue Recognition: Phased revenue recognition starting Q3 of FY 2025-26
Capacity & Resources: No additional investment or hiring required; current facilities are adequate for execution
Despite global uncertainties around tariff regimes, Quality Power continues to see robust demand across key markets, having recently secured major orders from the US, UK, Iraq, and Finland. As a trusted component partner for high-voltage systems globally, the company believes its unique position and capacity constraints will help mitigate any potential tariff-related challenges.
