Rahimafrooz linkswith Marshal Island in iswhardi Zone

Dhaka: Rahimafrooz Globatt Limited, a Rahimafrooz-Marshal Island joint venture company, is going to set up a battery manufacturing industry in the Iswhardi Export Processing Zone.

The joint venture company will invest $ 25.258 million to produce lead acid battery. It will create employment opportunity for 479 Bangladeshi nationals.

An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and the Rahimafrooz Globatt Limited in BEPZA Complex on Thursday in the Dhaka city, said a BEPZA press release. Prasanta Bhushan Barua, member of BEPZA, and Munawar M Moin, managing director of Rahimafrooz Globatt Limited, signed the lease agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Brig General Ashraf Abdullah Yussuf, executive chairman, member AKM Mahbubur Rahman, secretary BM Kamal, general manager AZM Azizur Rahman, manager Md Abdus Sobhan of Bepza, and Firoz Rahim, managing director of Rahimafrooz group, were present at the signing ceremony.
