Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd Wins Lowest Bidder Status for Central Railway Order

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a Central Railway contract involving Overhead Equipment (OHE) modification. The project aims to upgrade the existing 1x25 KV electric traction system to a 2x25 KV feeding system in the Itarsi-Amla section of the Nagpur division to support a 3,000 MT loading target.

The contract is valued at ₹115.79 crore, inclusive of applicable taxes. The project will enhance rail network efficiency and capacity, aligning with Indian Railways’ modernization efforts.
