Ramboll opens new engg. centre.
Danish engineering, design and consultancy firm Ramboll, which in India has grown organically as well as through acquisitions in the last 18 years, is looking to join hands with companies in the areas of rail, planning and urban design, MEP, project management and structures.
Transportation and building are two sectors where it is keen on acquiring firms as part of the overall strategy to expand India operations and clock over 50 per cent growth in revenues in next three years. Whitbybird, IMIsoft, and Gifford are companies that Ramboll had acquired over the years.
Stating that the company is bullish on the Indian market, Ramboll India managing director Pawan Maini said the revenue target is Rs.250 crore by 2018. In 2015, the company had posted Rs.160 crore revenue.
Mr.Maini was addressing presspersons at the 160-seater engineering centre at Gachibowli here, which was inaugurated earlier by Ramboll’s Group Executive Director for Markets and Global Practices Soren Holm Johansen. Overall, Ramboll has a headcount of 230 in Hyderabad - a team focused on tower engineering. The company’s telecom services range from tower solutions, including design, smart site, rapid deployment, camouflaged and individual solutions, tower reverse engineering (TLVA), software engineering services to radio frequency and electromagnetic field related services.
