"Ramkrishna Forgings Bags ₹270 Crore Order for Vande Bharat Trains"

Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd announced on April 15 that it has clinched a substantial order worth ₹270 crore from a consortium led by BHEL. The order entails the supply of bogie frames for Vande Bharat train sets.

According to a statement released by Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd (RKFL), the project involves the development and validation of bogie frames for the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat train sets. The order comprises 32 train sets, with each set consisting of 16 coaches. RKFL is set to produce a total of 1,024 bogie frames for this project.

The statement further highlighted that the order, valued at ₹270 crore, is designated to be supplied to the BHEL TRSL consortium.

Lalit Kumar Khetan, Whole Time Director & CFO of Ramkrishna Forgings Limited, expressed pride in securing the prestigious order, citing it as a testament to the company's commitment to excellence and innovative practices. He emphasized the company's dedication to supporting initiatives such as Make in India and the advancement of rail transport in the country by leveraging their expertise in manufacturing high-quality bogie frames.
