Centre Aims to Raise Rs. 10,000 Crore through Port Monetisation in FY25

The Centre is gearing up to increase the share of public-private partnership (PPP) in ports by aiming to monetise assets worth Rs. 10,000 crore in the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), as per sources familiar with the matter.

According to a senior government official, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways has submitted a monetisation pipeline of Rs. 10,000 crore, comprising five to seven projects, to NITI Aayog, the central think tank and nodal government body for asset monetisation.
