ReNew to Join Hands With Global Players for ₹85,000-Crore Green Data Centre Project.
Decarbonisation solutions provider ReNew Energy Global Plc plans to adopt a collaborative model to set up a ₹85,200-crore Green Data Centre in Andhra Pradesh.
The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) cleared the investment proposal on Wednesday. The proposal is expected to be ratified by the State Cabinet at its next meeting later this month.
According to official sources, the proposed Green Data Centre will be developed in Anakapalli. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) is expected to allocate land for the project following the Cabinet's approval.
The project is expected to strengthen Andhra Pradesh's position as a destination for green and renewable-energy-powered data infrastructure, while supporting ReNew's expansion into large-scale decarbonisation solutions.
Further details on the project's implementation and proposed partnerships are expected to emerge after the State Cabinet considers the investment proposal.
