Rockwell Automation Targets Doubling India Business in 6-8 Years.

India is rapidly evolving beyond its role as a mere cost center for global automation leader Rockwell Automation, emerging instead as a crucial strategic hub for both growth and innovation. The company, whose diverse client roster in India includes Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hindalco, and Daimler, is witnessing consistent double-digit CAGR growth in its Indian operations over the past decade. Globally, Rockwell's FY24 sales stood at $8.3 billion.

Beyond its strong presence in traditional sectors like automotive, food and beverage (F&B), and life sciences, India is now also serving as a launchpad for Rockwell’s expansion into the semiconductor industry. The company is actively participating in projects with global chipmakers, underscoring India's increasing significance in high-tech manufacturing.

Rockwell Automation currently employs over 4,100 people in India, with more than 2,500 dedicated to its global development and delivery centers. The company has substantially bolstered its research and development (R&D) footprint in Pune and Bengaluru, establishing large-scale software and hardware design centers that provide critical support for its worldwide operations. This strategic investment highlights India's pivotal role in Rockwell's global innovation ecosystem.
