Rs. 17 Cr Sanctioned for Azheekal Port.

The state government has issued administrative sanction of Rs. 17 crore to set up Container Handling Crane at Azheekal port, said Fisheries and Ports Minister K Babu .

The government also issued administrative sanction of Rs. 25 lakh to carry out hydraulic study for renovation of Chethi fishing harbour in Alappuzha.

An expert team comprising marine surveyor from the Hydrographic Survey Department and experts from Fisheries and Ports Departments would be appointed to carry out the study, the Fisheries and Ports Minister said.
