Rs. 20 crore sanctioned for KUFOS.

The government has sanctioned Rs. 20 crore to the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies to implement its infrastructure and academic plans for this fiscal. The varsity will receive Rs. 12.60 crore for infrastructure; Rs. 3.10 crore for education; Rs. 2.5 crore (research); Rs. 1.40 crore (extension); and Rs. 40 lakh for administration, according to an official release. Some of the research initiatives include Centre for Biofloc Technology, water and soil analysis laboratories, automatic weather station and climate service centre.
