Rs. 34,222-cr worth highway projects cancelled.

Highway projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 34,222 crore over a distance of 3,748 km are either terminated, foreclosed or have been cancelled.

This is for 29 projects, according to data submitted by P Radhakrishnan, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, in the Lok Sabha. All these projects were supposed to be implemented on a build-operate-transfer basis.
