The contract, valued at a staggering ₹167.28 crore, pertains to the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning for the upgradation of the electric traction system.
The project aims to transition from a 1 x 25 KV to a more efficient 2 x 25 KV traction system for the Rajkharsawan-Nayagarh-Bolani section of the Chakradharpur division of the South Eastern Railway. This upgrade is crucial in meeting the ambitious 3000 MT loading target set by the railway authorities.
The contract, set to be executed within a timeline of 18 months, represents a pivotal step in modernizing and enhancing the efficiency of the railway infrastructure.
