Serentica Renewables to Develop 170 MW Hybrid Energy Project for MRF.

Serentica Renewables recently announced plans to develop a 170 MW solar-wind hybrid project to supply captive renewable energy to leading tyre manufacturer MRF Ltd.

The project will operate under a captive power framework, with Serentica and MRF forming a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for its implementation. As part of the arrangement, MRF has taken a minority stake in the SPV, while Serentica retains the majority share, the company said in a statement.

A long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed between the two companies, enabling MRF to meet part of its energy needs through clean, renewable sources.
