Shree Renuka Sugars to expand capacity

Mumbai: Sugar manufacturer Shree Renuka Sugars will expand its sugar refining capacity of Athani unit in Karnataka from 1000 tonnes to 2000 tonnes per day.

The firm is also setting up a sugar refining capacity of 1000 tonnes per day at its Havalga unit in Karnataka and will commission it by December 2009.

It has also got a refining unit in Haldia, West Bengal that has a capacity of 2,000 tonne per day. After the commissioning of new plants Shree Renuka Sugars refining capacity will rise to 6,000 tonnes per day.
