Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured a significant new project, receiving a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a solar project in Rajasthan. The contract, valued at approximately ₹415 crore including taxes and operations and maintenance (O&M), was awarded by a major private Independent Power Producer (IPP).

The project involves a Balance of System (BOS) Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) package for a 300 MW AC / 420 MWp DC Solar PV Project. The scope of work also includes building a 220/33 kV Pooling Substation.

"We are excited to partner with a leading global renewable developer with huge growth plans in the domestic market and bag our first order from the Private IPP market this fiscal," said Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of the Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group.

Thakur noted that the new order is a testament to the company's "strong execution capabilities" and brings its total gross order inflows for the year to over ₹2,400 crore.
