Surat's KP Energy Secures 1,000 MW Order from GUVNL.
Surat-based KP Energy has secured new orders totaling 1,003 megawatts (MW) for the development of renewable energy projects in Gujarat. The orders, part of various tenders issued by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL), were announced in a filing to the stock exchanges. However, the company did not disclose the financial details of the contracts.
The projects will be implemented in three phases. Phase-1 will involve the execution of an 86.8 MW project, while Phase-2 and Phase-3 will see the development of 642 MW and 275 MW capacities, respectively. Of the total capacity, 863 MW will be solar energy projects, with the remaining 140 MW dedicated to wind energy.
KP Energy will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of services under the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) model. This includes designing, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and securing the necessary approvals and permits for each project.
