Syngenta has announced a major expansion of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, reinforcing its focus on digital innovation and strengthening support for its global operations.

The expanded facility further enhances Pune’s role within Syngenta’s global technology and business ecosystem. The GCC currently employs more than 1,100 professionals and serves as a key hub supporting the company’s worldwide operations across finance, information technology and digital functions, as well as its Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) regional operations.

Over time, the Pune centre has evolved into a critical driver of innovation, with a strong focus on data science and artificial intelligence, which are central to Syngenta’s digital transformation efforts, the company said.

Syngenta added that the GCC offers employees exposure to global work environments, cross-functional roles and structured career development opportunities. The company is also accelerating its digital transformation by deploying AI-powered solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and fostering innovation across functions.
