"Tata Power Renewable Energy Partners with Endurance Technologies for 12.5 MW Captive Solar Plant"

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a prominent player in the renewable energy sector and a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has inked a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with Endurance Technologies Limited, a leading manufacturer of auto components. The agreement, facilitated through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) called TP Green Nature Limited, paves the way for the development of a 12.5MW AC Captive Solar Plant.

Situated in Aachegaon, Maharashtra, the plant is expected to generate an annual yield of 27.5 million units (MUs) of electricity. This initiative aligns with Endurance Technologies' commitment to reducing its carbon footprint by mitigating approximately 9,125 metric tonnes (MT) of carbon emissions each year.

The ambitious project is scheduled for completion within 12 months from the signing of the PDA.

Ashish Khanna, CEO of TPREL, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Our collaboration with Endurance Technologies Limited to establish a captive solar plant underscores our commitment to helping businesses adopt sustainable energy solutions. At TPREL, we are dedicated to supporting energy-intensive industries in their transition towards green energy solutions, furthering the nation's journey towards energy sustainability."

Notably, TPREL and Endurance Technologies Limited have previously joined forces in a successful partnership, resulting in a 12.5MW captive solar power plant in Akkalkot, Maharashtra. This operational solar facility has an annual energy generation capacity of 18.7 million units (MUs).

TPREL has earned a reputation for tailoring captive energy solutions for diverse industries, including steel, hospitality, real estate, auto components, and polymers, delivering them in a reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly manner.

Ramesh Gehaney, Director & COO of Endurance Technologies Limited, emphasized the company's commitment to environmental responsibility and the adoption of eco-friendly energy alternatives through this partnership with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited. He highlighted the pivotal role green energy plays in reducing pollution, combating climate change, preserving natural resources, and promoting sustainable economic growth and energy independence.

With the addition of this proposed captive solar power plant, TPREL's overall renewable energy portfolio will reach a total capacity of 7,889MW. This includes 3,701MW of projects at various stages of implementation, underscoring TPREL's dedication to expanding its clean energy footprint. The company's operational capacity currently stands at 4,188MW, comprising 3,185MW of solar and 1,003MW of wind energy.
