TCS, TPG to Pump ₹18,000 Crore Into New AI Data Centre Joint Venture.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and private equity firm TPG will jointly invest up to ₹18,000 crore in a new data centre venture named HyperVault, the companies announced recently.

Under the partnership structure, TCS and TPG Terabyte will contribute funds in a 51:49 ratio. TPG Terabyte is expected to invest up to ₹8,820 crore over the next few years and could ultimately hold between 27.5% and 49% of HyperVault. The capital infusion will be made through a combination of equity and debt.

TCS said the collaboration with TPG will strengthen returns for its shareholders, lower capital expenditure requirements, and support the creation of long-term value for the expanding data centre platform.
