"Texmaco Rail & Engineering has secured a ₹64 crore contract for the supply of specialized freight wagons."

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd recently said it has secured a purchase order worth ₹64 crore from APL Logistics Vascor Automotive for the manufacture and supply of specialised freight wagons.

In a statement, the company said the order includes the supply of rakes of ACT-1 wagons along with BVCM-type brake vans. The contract is expected to further strengthen Texmaco Rail’s presence in the specialised freight rolling stock segment.

Commenting on the order, Managing Director Sudipta Mukherjee said the contract reflects the growing demand for customised, rail-based logistics solutions focused on enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
