Thermo Fisher Scientific Invests ₹160 Crore to Expand Bengaluru R&D Centre.
Thermo Fisher Scientific, the American life sciences company, has expanded its research and development centre of excellence in Bengaluru with an investment of over ₹160 crore. The new 37,000 sq. ft. facility was inaugurated recently, further strengthening the company’s presence in India’s biotechnology and life sciences innovation hub.
The Bengaluru centre has developed more than 2,000 high-quality recombinant antibodies that have advanced research in infectious diseases, antiviral studies, and cancer biology. Its antibody validation programme has tested over 25,000 antibodies, while its manufacturing capabilities have produced more than 2,000 primary and secondary antibodies to ensure consistency and quality for researchers globally.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior representatives from the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, KEONICS, and the Karnataka Innovation & Technology Society (KITS).
