Three reconstruction projects to be started in East

Jalaabad: Work on three-reconstruction projects initiated on Sunday with the support of Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in the eastern Nangarhar and Laghman provinces, a PRT official said.

Two levees would be constructed in Qargha and Alengar districts at a total cost of $65000, saving 500 acres land and having 210 metres length, a PRT spokesman for Laghman province, Javid Shamsi told Pajhwok Afghan News.

One supportive wall will be built in Hussain Khel, village of Qargha district and other in Darja village of the Alengar district, costing $26000 and would be constructed in three months, he added.

In other report, construction work on a school building has started in Dara-i-Noor district of Nangarhar province.

Muhammad Iqbal Azizi, education department head in Nangarhar, told this news agency the school, costing $85000, would be completed in three months.
