Tamil Nadu has set an ambitious target of attracting investments totaling around ₹75,000 crore by 2032 under the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor, announced Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recently.
Speaking at the inauguration of AeroDefCon 2025, a three-day international aerospace conference held in Chennai, the Chief Minister highlighted the progress since the corridor’s launch in 2019. He said the initiative has already drawn investments worth ₹23,000 crore, with ₹5,000 crore of that amount having been implemented so far.
The event, organized jointly by the Tamil Nadu government and BCI Aerospace of France, focuses on manufacturing technologies for the aerospace supply chain and aims to bolster the state’s position as a key player in defence and aerospace manufacturing.
