Tripura to Get New Railway Track, Tallest Building in Development Boost.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha recently announced a new railway track connecting Dharmanagar in North Tripura to Kailashahar in Unakoti District, along with the construction of the state's tallest building in Agartala's Gurkhabasti to house all directorates under one roof.

The announcements came as the CM laid foundation stones for various projects worth ₹162 crore in Unakoti District. Speaking at the event in Chandipur, Kailashahar, Saha highlighted ongoing infrastructure and industrial developments in the state.

He emphasized the BJP-led government's commitment to transforming Tripura, citing recent investments worth ₹3,700 crore from 87 investors and improved railway, highway, and air connectivity under the "HIRA model" promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Saha also took aim at opposition parties for questioning development efforts in Tripura, urging them to witness the progress firsthand. He credited the "double-engine government" for ensuring peace and attracting investment to the region.

Additionally, the CM handed over a compensation cheque to the family of a deceased tea worker and reiterated the government's commitment to welfare and economic growth.

The event was attended by Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy, Unakoti District officials, and other dignitaries.
