USD 1.5 billion multi-specialty hospital complex to be established in Barka.

Iranian Ambassador Ali Akbar Sibeveih announced the plan to establish a USD 1.5 billion multi-specialty hospital project in Barka, according to reports in the Times of Oman.

The hospital complex will consist of a huge general hospital building among a cluster of other hospitals and will offer centers for pediatric care, trauma, head and neck injuries and an organ transplantation center.

The 400-bed hospital will be equipped with the latest medical facilities and will also include a four-star hotel.

The construction of this project is set to begin soon and is expected to be completed by 2018.

In addition, the complex will also offer a well-equipped training department for nurses and doctors.
