Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat lays foundation stone of projects worth over Rs. 100 crore.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat laid foundation stones of development projects worth Rs. 175.99 crore in Bageshwar district.
He inaugurated schemes worth Rs. 211.78 lakh recently and announced a slew of projects for the district including development of Neeleshwar Mahadev as a tourist destination, construction of a car parking area in Bageshwar and rechristening of several government-run schools in the area, an official statement said.
Kapkot school and Pauri Band-Palnicheena-Kafligair motor route will be named after noted freedom fighters Chandra Singh Shahi and Baalam Singh Janaiti, the chief minister said.
He announced his plans of developing Bageshwar guest house as a circuit house and beautification of Bageshwar temple and construction of a museum near it.
A flood control area will be developed close to Saryu and Gomti rivers and the famous Uttarayani fair which begins on January 14 every year on the occasion of Makar Sankranti will be included in the state list of identified fairs to be funded by the state government.
