Uttarakhand CM Launches Development Projects to Enhance Tourism and Infrastructure in Pauri Garhwal.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the three-day Nayar Festival on Thursday in the gram panchayat of Kinsur Bagi, located in the Yamkeshwar assembly constituency of Pauri Garhwal district. During the festival, Dhami announced several development projects aimed at enhancing the region's growth and infrastructure.
"This festival will not only position the region on the global tourism map but also stimulate economic, cultural, and commercial activities, benefiting local communities. By hosting events along the banks of the Ganga and Nayar rivers, near the meditation site of Sage Vyas, we are fostering the development of tourism infrastructure," Dhami stated.
Key initiatives unveiled by the Chief Minister included upgrading the Devprayag-Satpuli and Devprayag-Buakhai roads to national highway status, the construction of a 6 km stretch of the Nand River road, and the approval of a mini stadium in the Laxman Jhula area.
Additionally, plans were announced for the construction of a double-lane RCC bridge over the Bin River near Ganga Bhogpur, resurfacing the Jakhanikhal-Dhandoli road in Dwarikhal, and establishing a degree college in Yamkeshwar, pending land availability.
During the event, the Chief Minister also reaffirmed his commitment to implementing a Uniform Civil Code, stating, "We pledged this to the people and will soon deliver on it." He emphasized the government's focus on creating more employment and self-employment opportunities for youth, highlighting that over 17,000 government jobs have been provided in the last three years.
