VA Tech Wabag Secures Order for Wastewater Treatment Plant in Georgia.

VA Tech Wabag, a leading water technology company, has won a consortium order from United Water Supply Company of Georgia LLC to construct a 19 Million Litres Per Day (MLD) wastewater treatment plant in Kutaisi, Georgia. The project is classified by Wabag as a ‘large’ order, valued between ₹250-600 crore.

This marks Wabag’s debut in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region and the Georgian market. The project, funded by the European Investment Bank, involves developing a modern wastewater and sludge treatment facility in Kutaisi, the country’s third-largest city. The plant, currently designed for 19 MLD, has provisions for future expansion up to 56 MLD.

With this order, Wabag continues to strengthen its global footprint in water infrastructure and advanced treatment solutions.
