Work on four school buildings starts in Qades

Herat: Construction work of four separate school buildings began in Qades district of Badghis province with a total cost of 460,000 US dollars.

The facilities will be ready for use before the start of coming academic year.

Syed Ahmad Shah Sadat, head of education department of Badghis province told Pajhwok that Qades Girls High School will be constructed with total cost of 354,000 provided by Spanish provincial reconstruction team.

He added that building which will have two storey and 16 class rooms would have capacity to accommodate 800 students who used to study under tents.

Construction of Qades an adjacent male high school costing 48,000 dollars, started with support of the same reconstruction team. That school will have 6 classes and will facilitate space for 279 students.
Also the construction work of a primary school in Zard Alogag village and Qadas Khurdak female school started on Sunday, said the head of education department of Badghis.

Last week two schools buildings were opened for use in the same province which was built with six million Afghanis from the Education ministry's budget.
