Work on Manzalai gas field project to start again

Lahore: The work on the Manzalai Gas Field Development Project has resumed after the Lahore High Court refused granting stay.

Petrosin engineers have lauded after the court argued that Petrosin was not pre-qualified for the project by the MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas BV, and its joint venture partners, Pakistan Oilfields Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Government Holding and Pakistan Petroleum Limited.

Earlier, M/s Petrosin Engineering (Pvt) Limited etc, had filed a suit for declaration and permanent injunction before Civil Court against MOL Pakistan, its joint venture partners and successful bidder Presson Descon International Limited challenging the bidding process with respect to Manzalai Field Development Surface Facilities Project and Gathering System at Tal Exploration Block, District Kohat, NWFP, and sought temporary injunction during pendency of suit. Learned Civil Court had dismissed the stay application. Appeal against the order of dismissal before Additional District Judge also remained unsuccessful.
