Work on road project started in Baghlan
Pul-I-Khumri: Construction work on a 15-kilomtre long road project, costing $120,000 started with the support of social welfare ministry in the northern province of Baghlan, officials said on Tuesday. Governor Abdul Jabbar Haqbeen told Pajhwok Afghan News the six meters wide road project from Jalga district to Nahreen district will be completed in four months.
During the inauguration ceremony he said the project was started with the suggestions of the local people and it will not only bring facilities to civilians but will also provide job opportunities for them.
Social welfare Chief Habibullah Temory has meanwhile told this news agency that the social welfare ministry has allocated $2 millions for reconstruction of all the streets of the western Herat city this morning.
He added according to the suggestions of local officials this amount of money was allocated and it will be used for the reconstruction of all the recently damaged streets of the city.
