Aban Offshore gets Thailand contract

Mumbai: Aban Offshore, a provider of oil field services for offshore exploration and production of hydrocarbons, signed a contract worth $18 million (aroud Rs 79 crore) for the deployment of the new build jack-up rig Deep Driller 7 offshore Thailand, for a period of 3 months, extendable up to 6 months.

The rig is likely to start mobilizing to the location during the second week of September, 2008.
