ACME Solar Clinches 190 MW Hybrid Energy Contract from Solar Energy Corporation of India.
ACME Solar Holdings recently signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 190 MW wind-solar hybrid project, taking its total PPA-signed capacity to 5,820 MW.
The agreement was executed through its subsidiary, ACME Urja One Private Ltd, and pertains to an interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected hybrid project. The 190 MW capacity forms part of a larger 380 MW tranche, with the PPA for the first phase now formalised.
The tariff for the project has been adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), while the power procurement plan has received approval from the concerned state electricity regulatory authority, the company said.
Under the terms of the agreement, ACME Solar is required to maintain a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 50 per cent and meet 80 per cent of peak power demand on a daily basis.
The company added that grid connectivity for all components of the project — including solar, wind and battery energy storage systems (BESS) — has been secured. It also noted that timelines for connectivity and transmission infrastructure are aligned with the contracted commercial operations date.
