Agastya Energy Plans ₹7,800-Crore Integrated Ingot, Wafer Manufacturing Expansion.
Agastya Green Energy Ltd, part of the Anubhav Agarwal Group, recently announced plans to expand into integrated ingot and wafer manufacturing with a project estimated to cost around ₹7,800 crore.
The project will be set up at the Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, and will have 12 GW each of integrated ingot and wafer manufacturing capacity, the company said in a statement.
The expansion will complement Agastya Energy's existing solar cell and module manufacturing capabilities, strengthening its position across the solar manufacturing value chain.
The project is aimed at enhancing the company's domestic manufacturing capabilities and increasing local value addition in India's solar manufacturing sector.
