APEDA to Open New Offices in Patna, Raipur, and Dehradun to Boost Agri Exports.

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), an arm of the Commerce Ministry, is set to open three new regional offices in Patna, Dehradun, and Raipur. The move aims to provide greater support to agricultural exporters across the country.

The addition of these three new offices will expand APEDA's network, which currently includes 16 regional offices in cities such as Bengaluru, Srinagar, Guwahati, Mumbai, and Kochi.

APEDA's mandate is to support the export of a range of agricultural and processed food products. Its functions include developing relevant industries for export, registering exporters, setting quality standards, improving packaging, and marketing Indian products internationally.
