Ashmi Road Carriers Private Limited Secures Toll Collection Contract for Samruddhi and Worli Sea Link.

Ashmi Road Carriers Private Limited (ARCPL), led by city businessman Pyare Khan, has secured the contract to operate toll booths along the Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway and the Rajiv Gandhi Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai for three months.

ARCPL emerged as the lowest bidder, offering a revenue share of 4.58% from toll collections on the Samruddhi Mahamarg and 5.64% from the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, as stated by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). The company competed against six other bidders for these contracts.

Khan expressed pride in the achievement, noting, "It's a matter of pride for a firm in Nagpur to have secured such a prestigious contract in the state." He confirmed that operations on both routes have officially begun. As a toll operator, ARCPL's responsibilities will include improving traffic management and alleviating congestion, particularly on the expressway.

The company plans to conduct safety awareness campaigns, encouraging drivers to be mindful of their speed and safety, as their loved ones are waiting at home. Khan also proposed that the MSRDC implement rest facilities for drivers at regular intervals along the expressway to help control speed.

ARCPL has a solid reputation in the industry, having previously managed toll operations on other highways constructed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Khan added.
