Ashok Leyland Unveils Next-Gen Compact Engine Series at EXCON 2025.

Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and one of the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, unveiled its new P15 (49 & 55 HP) and H4 Unipack (55 & 74 HP) engine series at EXCON 2025, which is underway in Bengaluru from December 9 to 13.

The P15 engine is designed for compact construction and material-handling equipment, including skid-steer loaders, mini compactors, sweepers, and forklifts. According to the company, the lightweight, compact unit delivers strong pulling power while keeping fuel consumption low. It is available in multiple configurations, including a high-speed non-emission variant capable of up to 3,300 rpm for faster operations, as well as a CNG option for customers seeking cleaner energy solutions.

Engineered for more demanding applications such as backhoe loaders, the H4 Unipack (55 & 74 HP) is built to handle rugged and high-altitude conditions, offering performance capability up to 5,500 meters. The company said the engine ensures reliable cold starts and complies with stringent emission norms, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
