Bhel gains after commissioning Sudan's largest thermal power station.

Bharat Heavy Electricals rose 2.02% to Rs. 252.85 at 13:30 IST on BSE after the company announced successful commissioning of the 500 megawatts Kosti Thermal Power Station in Sudan.

Significantly, Kosti Thermal Power Station (TPS) (4x125 megawatts) is now Sudan's largest Power Plant, Bharat Heavy Electricals (Bhel) said. Notably, Kosti TPS is Bhel's largest oil fired thermal power plant in the overseas market. Bhel has executed this project on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. The project is funded by Government of India's line of credit of $350 million.
