Bondada Engineering Limited has received a significant Government Order (GO) from the Government of Andhra Pradesh – Energy Department, allocating the company 2000 MW AC / 2600 MWp DC Solar Power capacity. This substantial project will be developed across various locations in the Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts of Andhra Pradesh.
The company had previously submitted detailed proposals for establishing solar power projects of this scale in villages within Roddam and Kothacheruvu Mandals in Sri Sathya Sai District, and in villages across Gooty, Peddavadugur, Vidapanakallu, Peddapappur, and Narpala Mandals in Ananthapuramu District.
These proposals were reviewed and approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) in a meeting held on May 15, 2025. The allocation is contingent on ensuring there is no overlap with areas already designated for other renewable energy (RE) projects or wind resource assessment studies by other developers.
The project is mandated for implementation within 24 months, adhering to the guidelines set forth in the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy – 2024.
This latest order, valued at ₹9,000 crore, will significantly boost Bondada Engineering's order book to approximately ₹14,000+ crore. Furthermore, the company anticipates an additional revenue of ₹1,160 crore from Independent Power Producer (IPP) operations starting from FY 2029 onwards.
Bondada Engineering Limited views this strategic allocation as a major milestone, reinforcing its commitment to contributing to India's renewable energy ambitions through the development of large-scale, sustainable infrastructure.
