Canadian company plans to expand new steel fabrication plant near Great Falls.

The Associated Press reported that a steel fabrication plant that began production just north of Great Falls in late January is working to develop a high and wide corridor so it can haul the modules it builds to oil fields and other projects in the region and into Canada.

ADF International held a grand opening recently at its USD 26 million steel fabrication building.

Mr. Dan Rooney GM of ADF International said that 'The plant employs about 80 people and expects to add a second shift in the next several months. ADF also is building a paint shop.'

Mr. Rooney said that 'ADF is finalizing a plan with state and federal transportation officials to complete the final 45 miles of a high and wide corridor by raising 13 utility lines between Great Falls and Fort Benton this summer. The rest of the route into Canada can accommodate the large loads.'
