Coromandel Unveils Nano Fertiliser Plant in Andhra Pradesh

Coromandel International Ltd, a leading agri solutions provider, has marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art nano fertiliser plant at its facility in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

The grand unveiling took place on Sunday, presided over by the company's Executive Director (Nutrient Business), Sankarasubramanian S. The event saw the attendance of the company's senior leadership alongside key channel partners from various parts of the country.

The newly inaugurated facility represents Coromandel's foray into the next generation of fertilisers, which hold the promise of transforming Indian agriculture, as per a statement released by the company.

Boasting fully automated operations, the nano fertiliser plant boasts an impressive annual production capacity of one crore bottles. Engineered with energy-efficient technologies, the plant has the flexibility to scale up production to accommodate various ranges of nano fertilisers, supplementing the existing Nano Dia Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) and Nano Urea products.

Coromandel's breakthrough nano fertilisers, engineered to enhance nutrient delivery and absorption in plants, are the result of extensive research and development conducted at its in-house R&D center located at the IIT Bombay-Monash Research Academy.

Market under the 'Gromor Nano' brand, these fertilisers have undergone rigorous field trials to validate their effectiveness, with the firm establishing a Nano Technology Centre in Coimbatore to further explore nano applications in agriculture.

Coromandel's Kakinada unit, which already boasts an annual production capacity of 2 million tonnes of conventional fertilisers, is geared to meet the diverse needs of farmers across India.
