Create Medic Plans Expansion of India Operations.
Japanese medical devices maker Create Medic has unveiled plans to expand its footprint in India, signaling a strategic shift toward direct market engagement and long-term growth.
The company, known for manufacturing silicone catheters used in the healthcare sector, intends to establish a stronger on-ground presence by setting up dedicated sales offices across key cities. It will begin with a new office in Chennai, followed by planned expansions into Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
This move marks a transition from Create Medic’s existing business model in India, where it has operated primarily through a distribution partner. By building its own sales network, the company aims to strengthen customer relationships and improve market reach.
Speaking at a press event, President Osamu Imazawa said the company is targeting long-term revenues of around ₹100 crore from its India operations, though he did not specify a timeline for achieving this goal.
