Elecon Engg wins another order from Adani Power

Ahmedabad: Elecon Engineering Company, material handling equipment, industrial gears and transmission products manufacturer, has won another order worth Rs. 22 crores from Adani Power (APL).

Last month, Elecon had bagged an order worth Rs 120 crore from Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone Ltd (MPSEZL), also of the Adani Group.

Its scope included design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of material handling system at Mundra.

Mr. Prayasvin Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, Elecon Engineering said the two orders are a result of Elecon’s increasing marketing efforts. “We look forward to continuing this trend in the New Year 2009 as well,” he said.

Established in 1951, Elecon pioneered the manufacture of material handling equipment and has designed and implemented several projects in India and abroad, specialising in supplying equipment to such core sectors as fertiliser, cement, coal/power generation, chemical, steel plant and port mechanisation etc.
