Ennore Port to award Rs. 151-cr contract to build cargo berth.

Ennore Port said it would soon award contract to build and run Rs. 151-crore multi-cargo berth with a capacity to handle 2 million tonnes (mt) in the next 10-15 days once it receives security clearance for the lone bidder.

Chairman and Managing Director MA Bhaskarachar declined to share the name of the sole bidder. Currently port capacity in south India far exceeds demand.
