EZW plans to set up office building facility in Djibouti

Dubai: Dubai-based Economic Zones World (EZW) has announced plans to construct a office building facility at Djibouti Free Zone to provide customers with a qualitative integrated service offering distinct from others in the country.

EZW is the global developer and operator of economic zones, technology, logistics and industrial parks under the Dubai World Group.

The two-storey multi-use building, with a leasable area of 1,828 sq m, will provide office spaces in various sizes to accommodate requirements of Djibouti Free Zone customers. Ground works for the building are due to start in September, said a EZW statement.

Managed by EZW, the Djibouti Free Zone with its investment friendly business environment and modern logistics infrastructure, has emerged as one of the most important strategic logistics platforms in East Africa.

The new facility, combined with 24 hour free zone access control, will provide customers with a greater range of amenities, thereby helping to maximize their productivity.

The facilities will include a restaurant, a Business Center, a convenience store, prayer rooms and an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) among other amenities.

Ali Dawood, senior vice president of EZW’s Emerging Business Units and chief planning officer of the UAE Region, The new office building is the latest multi-faceted development underway at Djibouti Free Zone. It already hosts world-class facilities for offices, distribution, storage and light manufacturing.


Djibouti Free Zone is currently home to over 100 leading regional and global companies including BMMI, SDV Bollore, and Seven Seas, among others. It has emerged as one of Africa’s leading trading and distribution hubs.

The strategic location of the free zone allows companies located in DFZ to serve 380 million people in 19 countries in East and Central Africa.
