Fourth project to come up in Laghman province

Mehterlam: Three projects were completed in Laghman province. The Laghman governor Lutfullah Mashal opened a fourth project of concreting streams and roads.

Mashal said that the project would complete in three months, and will cost 3800,000 Afghanis to be spent from budget of the provincial municipality.

He added the project includes concreting 200 meters roads, streams, and installation of iron bars on roadsides.

Mayor of Mehterlam city, Haji Mohammad Raheem said that the project will provide work opportunity to fifty residents. According to another report, three projects were completed in Daulat Shah District of the province.

Shams-ud-Din head of Daulat Shah Development Council said that all the three finished projects of water canals which irrigate hundreds acres of land. He added that the projects were accomplished in three months costing 30,000 US dollars.

The projects were carried out under the program Local Government Capacity Development Program, funded by the USAID.
