GVK Bio to acquire US-based Aragen Bioscience.

GVK Bio will acquire Aragen Bioscience Inc., a US-based, pre-clinical, contract research organisation (CRO).

The two companies have signed a definitive agreement to this effect. The acquisition will provide GVK Bio with world-class expertise in large molecule research and development services and biological services.

Hyderabad-based GVK Bio is into small molecule discovery and development as well as CRO services. Under the agreement, it will acquire the capital stock of the privately-held US company.
