Haryana CM Saini Announces Approval of 12 Road Connectivity Proposals in Meeting with Union Minister Gadkari.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayad Singh Saini announced the approval of all 12 road connectivity proposals in the state following a review meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Saini addressed public concerns regarding new road construction, stating, “I am pleased to announce that all 12 proposals we submitted for the state have been approved.”
One key proposal includes the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a four-lane road connecting the Kurukshetra bypass with the Ladwa bypass and Yamunanagar. Additionally, the expressway linking Faridabad to Jewar Airport will undergo elevation for a 12-kilometre stretch to mitigate issues for nearby residents.
“The Kurukshetra bypass has been a long-standing topic of discussion. Approval has been granted for a four-lane road connecting these vital routes, and we expect work to begin shortly,” Saini explained.
The Chief Minister also announced the construction of a four-lane road from Shahbad and another connecting Panchkula to Dehradun and Haridwar. To address congestion along major routes, a DPR will be prepared for the National Mandela Road to MG Road, along with improvements to the Gurugram-Faridabad intersections.
Other approved projects include the Gurugram-Farukh Nagar-Jhajjar corridor and plans to build an interchange similar to the KMP-Gohana-Sonipat highway to facilitate access to the Jammu-Katra road. Saini further confirmed the approval for a connection between Delhi Airport and Jammu-Katra Airport and discussed plans for a flyover near Dharuhera.
Work is also set to commence on the Haryana East-West Motorway, linking Dabwali to Panipat, and a DPR for the Hisar Ring Road will be prepared to alleviate traffic congestion in the area.Saini emphasized that these initiatives aim to enhance road connectivity and improve transportation infrastructure across Haryana, addressing the needs and concerns of local residents.
