Jaya Hind Industries Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Expansion of Chennai Die-Casting Plant.

Jaya Hind Industries (JHI) recently held the ground-breaking ceremony for the expansion of its aluminium die-casting facility in Chennai, reinforcing the company’s focus on capacity enhancement and advanced manufacturing in India.

The facility, located in Kottaiyur Village, Thiruvallur district, is being upgraded with an investment of around ₹200 crore. The expansion will include high-pressure die-casting (HPDC) machines ranging from 1,400 to 4,400 tonnes, enabling the production of a broad array of components such as internal combustion engine parts, electric vehicle components, and large structural castings.

As part of the project, a new shed spanning nearly 13,000 sq. mt will be constructed to house advanced die-casting machines and expanded machining capacity. Once completed, the Chennai plant will operate as a fully vertically integrated manufacturing facility.
